Alright, time to write a new journal. I haven't written one in such a long time, so it's time to keep my few watchers up to date on what I'm doing. For starters, I'm now going to a Folk High School http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folk_high_school where I'm studying photography. It's awesome! We have three professional (and great) photographers as teachers, and a lot of equipment (over 30 Macs, a fully equipped studio, darkroom, photo scanners and printers, a library with a lot of great books from awesome photographers). Hey folks! I'm 19 years old (as of 14.05). It's really incredible! I can't believe it, even though it doesn't feel anything different than being 18. New portraits I got to ask you folks; what to you think of my newest portrait? I've kind of used a HDR style, and I think the outcome is pretty good. Should I keep doing it?

I’m lying in bad now, surfing the internet and listening to Tom Waits on my 2 week old laptop. This is actually the first time I’ve ever had a laptop. It’s pretty sweet actually! I was looking at a new tripod at a local photo store today. There was one called ActivProfi 4 (I think). It looked rather good, and it was really heavy (which is good for long exposures). The bad thing is that it will cost me almost 1500 NOK ($300). Can I afford that? Don’t know yet! And yeah, I’m going to Nordic Light Photography Festival (http://nle.no).
